With Melbourne’s vibrant Little Vietnam in the vicinity, and a number of quality artisan cafes and gastro pubs also in the neighbourhood, you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to eating out. If you’re looking for a great place to grab a coffee and watch the world go by, Three Bags Full coffee shop has been ranked as one of Melbourne’s top three coffee shop for three years running. The Collingwood Children’s Farm and a number of markets and artisan stores all give the area an effervescent ‘local’ vibe.

  • Untitled“Unexpected pleasure” – Reviewed October 29, 2014 for a stay in September 2014First impressions were not great – grimy inner city street with crows eating from overflowing bins outside, but once we stepped in the door we were greeted with an extremely well appointed house with all the mod cons. Tram at end of the road had us in the city in 10 mins (and the owners helped organise travel cards, which was vey useful). Great café round the corner was a breakfast staple, lots of Asian restaurants for evening meals meant we never had to use the kitchen in earnest, but everything was supplied should you wish to cook for yourself.

House is in a quite street, convenient to shops, restaurants and trams. The beds and couch are comfy and the back deck is a lovely setting to relax in the afternoon sun. Our small dog thought the house and yard were perfect and enjoyed walks by the nearby river.

The large open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area connected well into the outside courtyard, giving our family plenty of space. The house was a great base to explore the local area and close enough to enjoy the rest of what inner Melbourne has to offer. Close to great coffee shops and Vietnamese restaurants the area is well served by both a tram line and a nearby train line. We also enjoyed the local playground and extensive parks within a 5 minute walk.
